No Special Licence Required

With the truck having a gross weight of 3,500kg, anyone with a car licence can drive the vehicle. Removing the need to tow a trailer means you no longer have to worry if employees have the necessary driving licence classification or having to operate on a tachograph when towing.

Amazing 1,800kg kerb weight

Ground breaking in a number of key areas the vehicle is designed around a fully type approved chassis conversion which when mated to a 2.2 litre 3.5 ton cab gives the vehicle a kerb weight of 1,800kg (dependant on specification). Whole life costs are substantially reduced as you are servicing and maintaining one unit rather than two.

Low Loader Vehicles - Faster and Easier Loading

With the floor height of the vehicle being only 530mm from the ground and 2.0 metre certified aluminium ramps supplied as standard, loading and unloading of plant hire equipment is carried out both quickly and safely. This low loader vehicle has a minimum of 6 recessed lashing rings (dependant on body length) located in the bed with rope tie down points on the bulk head and chassis underside to ensure hire equipment can be secured once loaded.

The unique stowage method designed by KFS means when the ramps are not in use (drop sides and a full tail gate are optional) they lock into the side of the truck to create an area in which smaller loose items can be carried easily. A full width aluminium bulk head with meshed upper section is another standard feature and allows ladders and scaffolding to be carried while protecting the cab occupants.

Health & Safety Benefits - Safer than Trailer Towing

Health and safety concerns which would normally come with trailer towing or loading onto a traditional drop side vehicle are removed due to the low floor height and carrying capacity of the truck. The specially design extruded ribbed aluminium floor offers excellent levels of grip for both equipment and operatives in all weather conditions, and provides an exceptionally strong floor.
