Plant Hire Vehicles Testimonial

"Plantool have been operating a Plant & Go vehicle for some 18 months now and have found the unit to be particularly flexible with regards to the deck height for loading and unloading of the full range of equipment we offer. The unit has proved both reliable and extremely economical, and removed the need to tow a trailer allowing anybody in the company to drive the vehicle without worrying if they have the correct classification on their licence."

Lancashire County Council Choose KFS Plant & Go

03-Jan-2011
Lancashire County Council when looking for a solution to allow them to move away from trailer towing when delivering their grass cutting equipment to site approached KFS Special Vehicles having become aware of the companies Plant & Go vehicle range.

The largest piece of equipment which Lancashire was looking to carry was a Kubota B3030 fitted with a Sisis quadra play frame and auxiliary equipment. The combined weight of the equipment was over 1,400kg, and challenged KFS to design a bed with the required dimension width and length while allowing the equipment to be carried within the restraints of a 3.5 ton vehicle.
A design was presented and approved with the added flexibility of a removable secure storage locker supplied for use when lighter mowers are carried with additional equipment including strimmers and blowers.
The vehicle makes use of the unique ramp storage concept developed by KFS were by the loading ramps become an integral part of the vehicle sides when not in use.

The vehicle also offers additional key benefits to Lancashire including, lower capital cost (one vehicle purchase instead of two), greater manoeuvrability when accessing schools and site premises, reduction in fuel usage and carbon output, and finally due to the vehicles gross weight it allows anyone within the authority to drive the vehicle without any additional training or driving licence classification.
